Product Description

Zenit DG blue Pump

The Zenit DG blue Pump provides compact submersible pumping for sewage and soiled wastewater containing compatible solids. Its techno-polymer vortex impeller creates a full free passage. Therefore, solids can move through the hydraulic casing with limited contact against the impeller.

Moreover, Zenit developed the blue Series mainly for domestic and residential installations. Consequently, the pump combines reliable wastewater handling with convenient transport, installation and routine maintenance.

Vortex Hydraulics for Domestic Sewage

The Zenit DG blue Pump uses a techno-polymer vortex impeller inside an EN-GJL-250 cast-iron casing. During operation, the impeller creates a swirling flow within the hydraulic chamber.

As a result, much of the wastewater moves around the impeller instead of passing through narrow channels. Therefore, the DG blue vortex submersible pump helps reduce fouling when sewage contains compatible suspended solids.

Main Features and Benefits

  • Techno-polymer vortex impeller
  • EN-GJL-250 cast-iron casing
  • Full free passage of 40 mm
  • Motor range from 0.30 to 0.74 kW
  • Two-pole single-phase motor
  • 50 Hz and 60 Hz versions
  • Vertical G1½-inch discharge
  • Maximum flow up to 7.8 l/s
  • Maximum head up to 12 metres
  • Class F motor insulation
  • IP68 protection rating
  • Integrated thermal protection
  • Adjustable float-switch option
  • Maximum immersion depth of 20 metres

Together, these features make the Zenit DG blue Pump suitable for household wastewater systems and small residential lifting stations.

DG blue Hydraulic Performance

The DG blue wastewater pump range covers four 50 Hz models from 0.30 to 0.74 kW. Moreover, the complete range reaches flow rates up to approximately 7.8 l/s and heads up to 12 metres.

However, maximum flow and maximum head occur at different operating points. Therefore, engineers should choose the exact model from its hydraulic curve rather than assigning both maximum values to every pump.

Full Free-Passage Design

The blue Series sewage pump provides a 40 mm full free passage across the published DG blue models. Consequently, it can transfer compatible wastewater solids that may obstruct pumps with smaller passages.

Moreover, vortex hydraulics limit direct contact between solids and the impeller. Nevertheless, the pump does not grind or cut material. Therefore, users should keep wipes, long fibres, metal objects and other unsuitable waste out of the collection chamber.

Motor and Electrical Protection

Zenit equips the compact vortex sewage pump with a two-pole single-phase motor, Class F insulation and IP68 protection. In addition, thermal devices inside the stator help protect the motor against excessive temperature.

Moreover, single-phase models include an internal capacitor. Consequently, the pump offers a compact electrical arrangement for domestic and residential installations.

Mechanical Seals and Pressure Testing

The Zenit DG blue Pump uses one silicon-carbide mechanical seal and one alumina-graphite mechanical seal inside an oil chamber. Therefore, the oil lubricates the sealing faces and helps extend their service life.

In addition, a V-ring protects the seals from foreign material. Zenit also pressure-tests every model to check the motor compartment, gaskets, cable gland and mechanical-seal assembly. Consequently, these controls support reliable operation.

DG blue Installation Options

The DG blue vortex pump supports free-standing and fixed installations. Alternatively, installers can use an external coupler or a compatible base-coupling foot where the station requires easier pump removal.

Moreover, selected versions include an adjustable float switch. Therefore, users can modify the automatic start and stop levels to suit the available sump volume.

Operating Limits

The published operating conditions include:

  • Maximum liquid temperature: 40°C
  • Maximum immersion depth: 20 metres
  • Motor protection: IP68
  • Motor insulation: Class F
  • Vertical discharge: G1½ inch
  • Power supply: Single phase, depending on model and market

However, users should confirm the exact voltage, frequency and cable configuration before ordering.

Domestic and Residential Applications

The Zenit DG blue Pump suits:

  • Domestic sewage lifting
  • Residential wastewater collection
  • Small civil lifting stations
  • Household wastewater containing solids
  • Basement bathroom pumping
  • Below-sewer-level installations
  • Small commercial wastewater systems
  • Temporary sewage-transfer duties
  • Compatible emergency pumping
  • Collection tanks and sumps

However, clear floodwater, seepage water, wells and irrigation duties usually suit the DR blue model more closely. Meanwhile, prolonged heavy-duty wastewater operation may require the larger bluePRO or professional Zenit ranges.

Choosing the Correct Zenit DG blue Pump

Correct selection depends on required flow, total head, solids size, pipe diameter and sump arrangement.

In addition, users should confirm the electrical supply, float-switch requirement, installation method and discharge connection. Therefore, specialists should select the Zenit DG blue Pump from model-specific hydraulic data.

Otherwise, an unsuitable model may cycle too frequently, operate inefficiently or fail to provide the required discharge head.
