Product Description
Quincy QP 5–15 HP
The Quincy QP 5–15 HP is a heavy-duty, two-stage reciprocating air compressor designed for demanding applications requiring pressures up to 175 psig. Moreover, its fully pressure-lubricated design provides controlled oil delivery to critical internal components.
Electric configurations are available in 5, 7.5, 10 and 15 HP ratings. Depending on the selected model, the range delivers approximately 17.2 to 51 ACFM at 175 psig. Therefore, the QP Series suits workshops, manufacturing plants and industrial operations requiring reliable high-pressure compressed air.
Fully Pressure-Lubricated Operation
Traditional splash-lubricated compressors rely on internal components to distribute oil through the crankcase. In contrast, the Quincy QP 5–15 HP uses a positive-displacement oil pump.
Consequently, oil is supplied to the crankshaft, bearings, connecting rods and wrist-pin areas. Moreover, the system includes an oil filter and pressure gauge for monitoring lubricant condition and delivery.
As a result, the compressor supports smoother operation and improved component protection during demanding industrial service.

Together, these features allow the Quincy QP 5–15 HP to balance industrial durability with cost-effective ownership.
Two-Stage Compression
The QP compresses air through two cylinder stages. First, the low-pressure cylinder performs the initial compression. Afterwards, the intercooler reduces air temperature before the second cylinder raises the air to the final pressure.
Consequently, two-stage compression supports efficient operation at 175 psig. Moreover, intercooling helps manage discharge temperature and reduces the work required during the second compression stage.
Therefore, the QP is better suited to high-pressure applications than many single-stage workshop compressors.
Cast-Iron Industrial Construction
The Quincy QP 5–15 HP uses a cast-iron crankcase, cylinder and flywheel. Therefore, the compressor provides the mechanical strength required for repeated industrial compression cycles.
In addition, industrial-class bearings and an advanced valve design support dependable airflow and long operating life. Meanwhile, the cooling system directs airflow across the cylinders to help control operating temperature.
QP Performance Options
Published electric-package performance includes:
- 5 HP: Approximately 17.2 ACFM at 175 psig
- 7.5 HP: Approximately 23.6 ACFM at 175 psig
- 10 HP: Approximately 36 ACFM at 175 psig
- 15 HP: Approximately 51 ACFM at 175 psig
The 5 and 7.5 HP packages use the QP1 compressor pump. Meanwhile, the 10 and 15 HP packages use the larger QP2 pump.
Therefore, users can select the Quincy QP 5–15 HP according to actual airflow demand rather than horsepower alone.
Pro, Pro+ and Max Packages
Pro
The Pro package provides a standard industrial configuration with a manual ball-valve tank drain.
Pro+
The Pro+ package adds an electronic drain and low-oil protection. Consequently, it provides additional automation and compressor protection.
Max
The Max package includes an air-cooled aftercooler, electronic drain and low-oil protection. Moreover, horizontal Max units include vibration isolators.
Therefore, users can choose the package level according to air-quality, maintenance and installation requirements.
Receiver and Electrical Configurations
The Quincy QP 5–15 HP is available with vertical and horizontal receivers. Published tank sizes include 80, 120 and 200 gallons, depending on horsepower and simplex or duplex arrangement.
Moreover, electric packages support single- or three-phase power on selected smaller models, while larger configurations use three-phase supplies. Available listed voltages include 200, 230, 460 and 575 V, depending on the package.
Applications in the UAE
The Quincy QP may support:
- Manufacturing plants
- Automotive workshops
- Metal fabrication
- Agricultural facilities
- Mining operations
- Energy exploration
- Food and beverage facilities
- Pneumatic tools
- Packaging equipment
- Maintenance workshops
- Service centres
- Industrial assembly lines
For example, a fabrication workshop can use a QP package for pneumatic tools and equipment. Similarly, a manufacturing plant can use a duplex configuration where redundancy and additional compressed-air storage are required.
Selecting the Correct QP Compressor
Correct selection depends on:
- Required ACFM
- Operating pressure
- Daily usage profile
- Motor horsepower
- Electrical supply
- Receiver capacity
- Simplex or duplex operation
- Aftercooler requirement
- Drain configuration
- Installation ventilation
Therefore, users should calculate total compressed-air demand and future expansion before ordering. Otherwise, an undersized compressor may operate excessively, while an oversized package may cycle inefficiently.
Warranty Options
Standard configured units carry the applicable standard warranty. However, Pro, Pro+ and Max packages are eligible for Quincy’s extended coverage option, which increases protection to two years for the package and three years for the compressor pump, subject to Quincy’s current terms and maintenance requirements.
