Wilden P8 Clamped Metal Pump for Industrial Transfer

The Wilden P8 Clamped Metal Pump is a 51 mm (2-inch) air-operated double-diaphragm pump designed for rugged industrial fluid-transfer applications. Its clamped metal construction provides a proven combination of durability and straightforward servicing.

Moreover, the pump is available in aluminium, cast iron, stainless steel or Alloy C. Consequently, users can select the wetted construction according to corrosion resistance, abrasion and process requirements.

Wilden P8 Metal Pump Flow and Pressure

Maximum flow depends on the selected diaphragm:

  • Rubber: Up to 623 lpm
  • TPE: Up to 630 lpm
  • Full-Stroke PTFE: Up to 618 lpm
  • Reduced-Stroke PTFE: Up to 496 lpm
  • Ultra-Flex: Up to 526 lpm

In addition, maximum discharge pressure reaches 8.6 bar or 125 psi. However, actual output depends on compressed-air volume, discharge pressure, viscosity and piping resistance.

Therefore, users should select the P8 AODD pump from its performance curve rather than relying only on the maximum flow figure.

Key Features of the Pro-Flo Clamped Metal Pump

  • 51 mm or 2-inch liquid connections
  • ½-inch FNPT compressed-air inlet
  • Maximum flow up to 630 lpm
  • Maximum pressure of 8.6 bar
  • Solids passage up to 6.4 mm
  • NPT or BSPT threaded connections
  • Aluminium, cast-iron, stainless-steel or Alloy C housings
  • Rubber, TPE, PTFE and Ultra-Flex diaphragm options
  • Clamp bands for faster maintenance
  • Strong wet and dry suction capability
  • Pro-Flo Air Distribution System
  • Lube-free pneumatic operation
  • Simple installation and servicing

Together, these features make the Wilden P8 Clamped Metal Pump suitable for transfer, unloading, circulation and compatible particle-containing liquids.

Pro-Flo P8 Air Distribution System

The Pro-Flo Air Distribution System uses a simplified pneumatic arrangement with only three primary moving parts. Consequently, the Wilden P8 metal pump supports reliable cycling and straightforward repair.

Moreover, its plastic centre block operates without external airline lubrication. Therefore, facilities can reduce lubricator maintenance and avoid introducing lubricant into the exhaust air.

Clamped Metal AODD Pump Maintenance

Clamp bands secure the manifolds, liquid chambers and centre section. As a result, technicians can dismantle and reassemble the pump using a single tool.

Moreover, fast access to the diaphragms, valve balls and seats can reduce maintenance time. Therefore, the Pro-Flo clamped metal pump suits facilities where frequent inspection and quick servicing are important.

P8 Metal Pump Housing Options

The Wilden P8 Clamped Metal Pump is available in four principal wetted-housing materials:

  • Aluminium: Lightweight construction for compatible general industrial fluids
  • Cast iron: Robust construction for selected heavy-duty and abrasive duties
  • Stainless steel: Corrosion resistance for many compatible chemicals and process liquids
  • Alloy C: Enhanced resistance for selected aggressive chemical applications

However, no material is universally compatible. Therefore, users must verify the fluid concentration, temperature, abrasiveness and complete chemical composition before ordering.

P8 Diaphragm and Elastomer Options

The P8 AODD pump supports rubber, TPE, Full-Stroke PTFE, Reduced-Stroke PTFE and Ultra-Flex diaphragm configurations.

Moreover, available elastomers include Buna-N, EPDM, FKM, Neoprene, PTFE, polyurethane, Saniflex and Wil-Flex. Each material provides different chemical, temperature and abrasion characteristics.

Consequently, the diaphragms, valve balls, seats and seals should all match the transferred liquid.

Two-Inch Threaded P8 Connections

The Wilden P8 metal pump uses 2-inch NPT or BSPT threaded inlet and discharge connections. Therefore, it integrates with industrial piping, hoses and transfer systems using either thread standard.

In addition, threaded connections can simplify installation and disconnection. However, users should confirm the required thread type and compatible sealing material before ordering.

P8 Solids Handling and Suction Lift

The Pro-Flo P8 passes compatible solids up to 6.4 mm or ¼ inch. As a result, it can transfer selected liquids containing suspended particles.

Maximum dry suction lift reaches 6.9 m with rubber, 6.7 m with TPE or Full-Stroke PTFE, 4.6 m with Reduced-Stroke PTFE and 4.9 m with Ultra-Flex.

Meanwhile, maximum wet suction lift ranges from 8.6 to 9.5 metres. However, viscosity, elevation and inlet restrictions affect actual suction performance.

Wilden P8 Clamped Metal Pump Applications

The Wilden P8 Clamped Metal Pump may support:

  • Chemical processing
  • Oil and lubricant transfer
  • Paints and coatings
  • Water and wastewater treatment
  • Mining operations
  • Tank and tanker unloading
  • Adhesives and sealants
  • Ceramic slurry transfer
  • Marine and utility duties
  • General industrial circulation

For example, aluminium may suit compatible oils and general industrial liquids. Alternatively, stainless steel or Alloy C may support selected corrosive chemicals after a complete compatibility review.

Selecting a Wilden P8 AODD Pump

Correct selection depends on flow, pressure, fluid composition, temperature, viscosity, abrasiveness and solids content.

In addition, users should confirm the housing, elastomers, thread standard, suction conditions and available compressed-air volume. Therefore, the Wilden P8 Clamped Metal Pump should be configured around the complete process duty.

Otherwise, incompatible materials may cause premature wear. Similarly, insufficient air volume may reduce flow and operating efficiency.

Why Choose the Wilden Pro-Flo P8?

The Pro-Flo P8 combines rugged metal construction with quick clamp-band maintenance. Moreover, its broad material range, strong suction capability and varied diaphragm options support demanding industrial duties.

Consequently, this 2-inch AODD pump provides a practical solution for UAE facilities requiring reliable fluid transfer and simple servicing.
